The Richland Town Center (Power Center) in Johnstown is anchored by Wal-Mart, ULTA , TJ Maxx/Home Goods, Best Buy, Petco, Michaels, and Famous Footwear. Small shops include Starbucks, Panera, Five Guys, Sweet Frog, Hallmark, Visionworks, and Mattress Warehouse. The Pad sites boast a Chili’s, Sheetz, and Aspen Dental. RTC is the dominant open air shopping center in the trade areas of Cambria, and Somerset Counties. Bob Varner VP of Real Estate for Pennswood Commercial reports that the PLCB has executed a lease to open a new Fine Wine & Spirits Store at the Richland Town Center in Johnstown. We’ve worked on this deal on and off over the last 5 years Varner stated. We’ve negotiated a deal that will have the PLCB occupying approx. 7,000 sf. of space with the ability to expand their sales floor based on future volume. This will easily be one of the largest Wine & Spirits stores in the market located at the most active shopping center in the Region. This will allow for more premium brands to be offered than most other stores in Cambria County. The PLCB has really upgraded the look of their new stores in a very tasteful manner which will be a great addition to the Town Center. There were a lot of moving pieces with this deal and I’m extremely proud to have persevered on this transaction. Architectural drawings have been submitted and permitted by Richland Twp. Construction has started on the space next to ULTA Beauty with an opening tentatively scheduled for the 3rd Quarter of 2025.
